Today makes 1 year of FCC for me, and I am so happy! This was a huge leap of faith for me, stepping out into my own venture, but I am so glad that I decided to do it.
One year ago I had a group of 2.5-3.5 year olds, and now they have all moved on to preschool, and I have the best group of infants and young toddlers.
While each group was wonderful, I have to say over the last month my current group has formed into the perfect group of kids to have. They have fully adapted to my schedule, they all get along so well, and are all developmentally staged perfectly so that my oldest is teaching the next in line, and the next in line is teaching the younger one, and so on. It is so wonderful to see them learning by watching one another, and to see their different kinds of play change daily.
I came from 2 years as a lead infant/toddler teacher in a local center, and I was so frazzled by that as I had a group of 11 under 1 almost daily. This is such a great change if pace, and has allowed me to love ECED again!
