    Patiently Waiting...

For licensing to show up for my yearly inspection! This will be my first inspection so Im a bit nervous & the anticipation is killing me. Im starting to think my new licensing specialist is a total flake. :: She NEVER returns my calls, so Ive started sending emails after I call stating that Ive called her & left messages & havent heard back. (just to cover my behind) I have all of my kids sleeping & Id like to get this over with during nap time. I was supposed to have a new infant start today, but mom showed up, crying (first day back to work) without the required paperwork so I had to send her home. She broke my heart though! Hope you ladies are having a fab Monday!

It's always worse when you are waiting...

Afterwords, looking back it's never as bad as you thought it would be.

        You'll do fine!
It sounds like you are much more prepared than your licensor is.

Hoping she shows up as scheduled.

I think I'd call the office first thing and "ensure inspector is ok because she missed a scheduled appointment without calling and hasn't responded to your calls or emails"
I'd get to the bottom of the rudeness.

We in Michigan do not get scheduled appointments. Ever. They are all unannounced.

For registered family care (up to 6 kids) the first one within the first 90 days is schedule, believe the 3 year, if your name is drawn is also scheduled. However when the dc is reported it is a surprise.
For licensed group care (up to 12 kids), I believe that they are all surprised but they also get more inspections than registered family care. Since I am not group care, I am not sure how many they get.
