    Changing Payment Due Date

    Hello!
I was wondering if anyone has done this before. My dcp pay me once a month on the first. Our mortgage is due on the first and it makes it really difficult to get to the bank and pay on time if they pay in the afternoon or a day late. I was thinking of changing the date to the 25th. Is that too much to ask?? Should I just deal and leave it how it is??

I would bet many families have the same issue and many get paid on the 1st and would have difficulty having tuition 5 days earlier. I also get paid on the 1st and was having trouble. So I worked hard to save a mortgage payment amount in my account as a coushion. It took several months but it saves me the monthly time crunch panic and works as a mini emergency fund occasionally.

My mortgage payment is auto withdrawn for a lower rate from a sperate account attached to our main accout. I have a set weekly amount (more than needed) every week before on dh pay check. If I need the extra money (5th week of the month), I pull it out. But at the end of the month I have enough for my mortgage.
I do the same for my other bills, I set aside an average per week (based on a year of bills) in an account then have most of it auto withdrawn. Some like, trash I pay with my cu free bill check writing service.
