Gifts for DCKs

A question for those that give birthday gifts to your dcks....I have a couple teacher's kids who are off this summer, with a sibling I've had in the past(she was in FT prek last year). Would you buy the sibling a birthday gift? Just wondering...

In that case probably not a gift, but maybe a card made by the other DCKs for the sibling.

I have gotten to where if the child isn't "in care" (so if they are off for the summer or whatever I do nothing. I do this because I got really irked last Christmas when I planned a party and got gifts for all the kids and planned it on a normal daycare day during hours they would all be here, and ONE kid showed that day.
