    Eco-Healthy Child Care

I finally got the Eco-Healthy Child Care endorsement by The Children's Environmental Health Network. I've only had it up on craigslist and care.com for a few hours and I've already gotten more response than I have in weeks! There are only 2 of us in the Orlando area, and the other is quite a distance.

The requirements are something that most of us do anyway, and the membership fee is only $25 for up to 20 children and $40 for 20+

Does anyone else have the endorsement? Did it make any difference to parents?

The ones I had really liked that I did it. That's kind of my thing though, anyway. Healthy food, lots of outdoor time. So it fit with current dcf's and those that would contact me.

I was the only childcare in AR when the program first went national (2011); it didn't cost until Wash DC took over the program a few years ago-it had been free. I moved to TN & now AR has ZERO providers listed.

I was endorsed, but not listed on the map the last 2 years due to being a "safe house" for parents in the Foster system that have to attend court without babies (Drop-in care). Next recertification I am listing the house because I really am not getting the drop-ins I use to. there are 5 in TN & only one of the those is near me in Knoxville

It's amazing how similar our programs are!

I actually lived in Clearwater, FL for 6 months... it was the only time I didn't run a childcare home in 16 years, however I was a Notary Public & married people on the beach. I love being Eco

I haven't heard about this before in California, I am really liking this and we meet all requirements.

I am interested in both. I would love to be a safe house for foster care, is that only in your state? Or is it national?
