Do you stop filling out infant sheets right at 12 months? Dcb will be 12 months next week, but he's still drinking 2 bottles; one in the morning and one in the afternoon. im not sure if the parents will be ok with me not filling the form out anymore, especially because they always want to know what table food he's eating (understandable) but i would really like to stop filling this form out. He's the only one I have to fill it out for, so it's not a big deal, but I would like to stop having to watch the clock for every little detail of the day !

I stop filling out infant sheets after the trial period is over.

After that, we have developed a basic routine and the only thing I let parents know is time of last feeding.

I will sometimes add how much they ate or what the diapers were like if out of the ordinary but if all was normal like every other day, I don't say anything other than "Have a good night! See you tomorrow!"

I just base it on the parents, but definitely not more than 12 months.

I use the Daily Connect app for all my children, infant to school-age. What I record changes as they get older, but at the minimum I record time in/out, meals, naps, and a photo most days.

I only do them for the first 6 weeks of care. Once we hit our routine, I stop. I do let them know the last time they ate and how much, and I will address anything out of the ordinary. But once I begin writing the same thing over and over each day it means I am done with daily sheets

I like the idea of only doing sheets the first 6 weeks/trial period. I only have one under 12m and I just sort of stopped doing them around 9m, she had gotten on such a predictable routine it seemed silly. I have started texting dcm the time of her naps (she is adjusting to 1 here) and when she was last changed/ate.

I always did sheets for all kids in care (up to age 3 or 4 here). Now I use an app! But if a child was still on an infant type schedule (nap on demand, bottles throughout day, etc.) instead of our meals/nap all at a set time I would continue to use a sheet to report it, would not go by the age.

I e-mail a note home for my kids ages 2-5 here. I don't like to do it but I do think it gives the parents peace of mind.
It states if they ate all/most/none of their food, drank all/most/none of their drinks, what their mood was, when they fell asleep and woke for naps (I check in 5 minute increments), and any special notes/reminders. It doesn't take too long.

I would downsize to something similar for your DCK upon turning 1. No mention of diaper changes, no mention of how many ounces of a bottle/what foods eaten, etc. If they want to know what foods they ate they can look at the posted menu (if you do one). I think that'd be less stress.

I don't take kids under one any more but if I did I'd do a daily note. I do a note two to three times per week for kids 1-4 yrs. I just circle most items I played in the ___________ centers (I have a list of my play areas), I ate all, some, very little of my lunch, I slept, did not sleep, story time was a book, flannel board story, prop story. Creative art was__________. Fill in the blank on this one. It's a half page.

I feel like I'm online or taking pictures enough already. I like the paper/pencil version. Someday I may look into an app!

I don't do them at all. They just end up lining the floor of their cars.

Most of my parents have liked them and read them and appreciated them and then they line the floor of their car with them!

Many of my parents scan them quick when they come and ask their child about the activities.

Thanks everyone! I have been writing the same stuff every single day for months, except for the times he poops and the food I give him! I should have stopped it a long time ago ha! I have forgotten to give it to them the last 2 days and they haven't said anything about it. Time to stop filling it out yay!
