    Help! Asap, please.

I'm not sure what to do. I have 3 dck, however, they are are cousins. Ususally the grandfather drops/picks up the kids. He has custody of 1 and his daughter has 2 children.

Now, about 2 weeks ago or so, he told me he was going on vacation the week of the 22 and that he was taking the boy he has custody of to the beach. Okay, no problem. I have in my contract that I will waive 1 week's rate for vacation if I'm given a 2 week notice. Now, yesterday, his daughter told me he might take one of her kids with. Now, the grandfather and his daughter take turns paying me. So, do I charge if he takes another kid? Also, the grandfather told me that his daughter was going on a trip and that her 2 kids would not be here June 29, 30 July 1. Maybe even July 2. After the one week unpaid vacation, I charge 1/2 the daily rate for additonal vacation time.

I'm confused. Now, I'm closed the week of July 6 for my vacation, which is unpaid. Which, I always take at the same time. I can't have 3 weeks in a row, that I have no idea what is going on. Since they do take turns paying, should I take the loss for next week on the 2nd child?

Do I charge for her 2 kids when they are off because I wasn't given notice. Or at least charge her 1 kid 1/2 the rate for the 2nd week? Any help would be appreciated.

My advice-follow your contract to the letter-if you start making exceptions now, they will expect it in the future.

They agreed to the contract, and by law they have to abide by it.
Spouse of a daycare provider....which I guess makes me one too!

No, do not take the loss. THEY changed their plans, not you. Still charge for the 2nd child.

Thanks. I did send out a reminder about the policy on vacation. Should the girl not be here next week, I will charge because I did not get a two-weeks notice for her for this week. The same also applies for the following week when the 2 borther/sister are out, because their mom did not give me a 2week notice.
