    Investigation Update Updated

Hello everyone, today I went to work scheduled 11 to 1 washing toys as I was told my previous job was no longer available. So I ****ed it up and did the job at 10 til 1 I asked if they needed anything else was told to go give someone their break which I pointed out I was told I wasn't allowed to do per her and that I was only scheduled til 1. I was then told to go ahead and leave so I did, immediately afterwards I went to apply at a daycare/preschool a couple blocks away after filling out the application I had and interview and was hired on the spot. As my resignation I gave my director and her bbf front office manager enemas to administer at their leisure. I feel amazing and so glad I have a new job where I don't gotta deal with that kind of bull****. I was victorious today and I feel great. Yes I know my resignation was in bad taste but I don't care.

Well, ordinarily I would say, "Leave on a positive note and don't burn any bridges on your way out the door" but since it's too late for that advice....I bet it felt good in the moment! :: Good luck in your new job.

Word travels fast in the daycare community.....I wouldn't expect a good reference....could come back to haunt you in the long run even if you feel you were in the right!

I agree, I would not have left the way you did. I am glad you found a new job, but in the future, I would try to be a little more professional. Even though you were not treated correctly, you should always be looking to the future.

              Good for you! happyface

Nothing chaps my hide more than a program that keeps violent and unruly children without consequence.

I hope your new place of employment is a more positive experience

I'm not worried about word traveling about this issue or how I left. During the on the spot interview I had I explained why I was leaving and had no desire to have that place of employment called which the director at the new place agreed and even knows the old director so there's that too. Besides as my old director said bring the way I left up to anyone else without proof (no cameras) will look like she's bashing me cause I quit without notice.

I would have left as soon as they told me and not worked till 1.

I appreciate you sharing the story. It allows me to live vicariously through someone else who did tell their boss to shove it. Literally I've had many bosses I would have liked to. Like the one who didn't like me because I worked too hard and she thought I was after her job. Or the one that installed cameras in the office and on our computers and would leave the office just to see what we would do. And then remote view our computers to make sure we were actually working. Sigh...

Being in business for myself is priceless.
