    Need help with wording

I had a family interview that was a good fit but after I quoted the rate, they seemed to hesitate. I am not lowering the rate but I need a way to say that I will continue to interview until the spots are full so they need to sign up soon. The dcm said she was exploring other options.

I want it to be nice but also light a fire to sign up or pass. I'm not in a big rush to fill the spots but I don't want them to know that

I would e-mail and let them know you are offering them the space but they need to pass or accept by X date (YOU set the deadline) or you will continue to interview and fill the space. Something like:

    Dear Potential Family

Thank you again for your interest in my program. At this time, if you would like to accept a position at ABC Child Care please confirm no later than Friday June 3, 2016.

The following items/paperwork will need to be completed and on file before services can be provided.

Should you wish to pass on this opportunity, please let me know. If I do not hear back from you by Friday, June 3, 2016 the space will be offered to the next interested family.

I look forward to hearing from you!

    Sincerely,

    Daycare Provider

I would just keep interviewing. If you fill it, you fill it. When they call you can update with, yes I have room or I'm sorry, that opening has been filled.

I stopped chasing clients years ago. If they are excited about my program and sign up then it seems to work out nicer than when thy are wishywashy or on the fence about a decision. My families know that I love their kids and treat them kindly while teaching them many important life skills. They know it's more than a job to me. And I like to know I'm more than a daycare to them.

I love that note by Blackcat! I typically will inform a perspective family that I usually expect to hear back from them within a week regarding their intentions and then I follow-up with an email note reiterating what we discussed at the tour and how their child would grow and thrive in our program.

That's it! Its on them at that point. If I hear back fine, if I don't fine. I have never had a parent enrolled that I had to chase.
