    Sleep Regression

In my 7 years of daycare and 8 babies later, I have never had this big of a sleep issue....I NEED HELP!!!!!

My own soon, who is 17 months old(and my only infant in care right now) has become a HORRIBLE sleeper. About 3 weeks ago it started at bedtime, now it's escalating to naptime. He will not go to sleep on his own, freaks out screaming and crying when he is laid down. Stands up screaming the entire time, won't lay down. I've tried CIO(with my husband giving in after 40 mins), going in every few minutes and telling him good night, love you, etc. The only thing that will calm him is to hold him, he will fall back to sleep within minutes and scream immediately upon me moving an inch. Bedtime routine is anywhere from 2-4 hours now, naps are getting missed completely. It's awful and I am to the point of feeling like I need to get a job for a break! School is out in 2 weeks and with a house full of kids this is going to be very bad!!!

I don't have any advice, but I did learn that children often regress in one area when they're working hard to master another area. So hopefully he'll sleep better after he masters whatever he's working on?

Ah yes the dreaded 18 month sleep regression! I have to explain this one to all of my parents because everyone thinks they are dropping naps!

Here is a great resource! I used their services when sleep training my two kids and they were awesome. Solved all of our sleep issues in less than a week. My eldest had major issues and night terrors (and I was a new mom with zero infant experience). My youngest was attached to the carrier because of daycare.

Toddler sleep regressions are exhausting and the 18 month sleep regression is one of the hardest. Learn about it and tips how to handle here!
