    Anybody Ever Tested The Longevity.....

of how long a 3 yo can actually keep up their crying jag???
OMG it's been 45 minutes and counting.
You'd think I had beat her. All I did was take the stuffed animals away from her and the 2.5 yo because they were fighting over them. It was their 2nd fight in less than 5 minutes. So they lost them all.
    Calgon take me away.

    PLEASE!!!!!!!

One can go without sleep for that long or do they just carry it on over in their dreams? Lol

The little duffer finally gave up and is staring into space. Won't be long now before she finally gives it up to rest. Just the minute the others start waking up. So a tad over 60 minutes. Not a Guinness World Record I'm sure but it felt like it.

I have one I fondly call "screaming _child's name" to my husband. She can go for hours if you try to console her. If you ignore until it becomes a whimper and then tell her it's play time she will come out of it quicker (20-45 minutes).

Sounds like she needs a NAP! happyface

The record here was 4 hours. Former rage baby turned rage toddler turned rage preschooler.

I've had one that went for hours too. He was a s/n kid with a rage disorder in addition to other things that weren't a problem. I couldn't let him go over the rages, but some unrelated issues came up that did justify terming him (without any connection to his s/n), and boy was I relieved.

From my mother's experience many years ago when she did daycare, she said the answer is fifteen minutes. She had a dcb who was three at the time, and she had him take a nap, and strangely enough, that worked::. The kid was overtired because his dad always dropped him off at 5:30am. I am not kidding. I can remember hearing my mom and his dad talking briefly at 5:30 while he dropped off his son

As for you, big hugs

Recently I had one of my 2yr olds scream for almost 2 hours. I ignored him completely and put him in his bed. I have a monitor in there, and he knows it. When he was done screaming he nicely said "out please! Sippy milk please!" and then waited for me to come get him. He was perfectly fine the rest of the day. Kids are stubborn little things!

2 hours. I'm terming this child as soon as I can. Hasn't got better for over a year!
