    Sell Me Your Printer

I have had the worst luck with printers the past few years. I just can't get a good one. I need one that will last, with affordable ink. It needs to print black and white and color and hopefully scan.

I have a Canon MX922. It's lasted longer than any other printer I have had, it's wireless, it scans/copies/faxes, and is pretty user friendly. I buy my ink from amazon dirt cheap (generic ink). I paid around $20 for 3 full sets of ink. I can't say it's the best, but it's the best that I have had.

I have the Epson Workforce(printer, scanner, fax, and it is wireless) The inks are all separate so you can buy the colors cartridges as you need them and they're like $14. I can't comment on longevity because I just bought mine a couple months ago but so far the quality is great and I got it for around $60.

I have an HP Photosmart 7510, and I love it. I can print from my phone with it, which is great for pictures. I love that it prints double sided pages without me having to turn the paper over myself. It scans to computer, copies in black and color, and is seriously the best printer I have ever owned. Until I did some research, I was paying $80 for all 6 new ink cartridges and about cried each time I did. But then I found a brand called Jaboo, and I was able to buy 14 ink cartridges for $28, and my print quality hasn't been effected at all.

How long have you been using the cheaper ink? I have been told this is the issue with my last two printers. I was told that manufacturers are making them to where the cheaper cartridges will "break" the printer now. And I believe it could be true.

I have heard that the cheaper ink wasn't good for your printer, too. This is the first printer that I've used generic ink with, and I've printed thousands of pages on it. This is the first printer that I have really liked, too. No printer problems for me, so far, with the cheap ink-the only cartridges that haven't been generic are the ones that came with the printer.

I also have one. I've had mine for about a year and a half and it still works just fine. Although I have noticed that it seems to take quite a bit of maintenance (head cleaning, alignment, etc.).

I am working through my first box of the generic ink, and have had no problems. But, I maintain my printer regularly by alligning the heads when I change ink, and cleaning the heads and the ink receptors as described by HP in the manual.
