Head Lice Policy

In 5 years of care I have never had to experience such a gross situation. My parents have been awesome and doing everything possible to get rid or prevent. Can you tell me your policy on lice and coming back into care. I have told nit/lice free and treated. Do you do regular checks to make sure the parents are following up on it? Thanks!!

Yes, I have a nit-free policy. During an outbreak, I do thorough head checks each morning and wash my hands after each one. The parents are not allowed to leave until the child has been declared nit-free. One single nit=go back and try again.
