    Full moon

I really need to keep up with the phases of the moon. Yesterday my group was crazy cakes so I went out and bought supplies to make glitter calm down bottles. I noticed a lot of daycare owner friends and teacher friends posting about how they feel the full moon had a negative effect on their groups mood.

Does anyone else have experience with the phase of the moon having a negative impact on their group?

    Yes.

    And no.

Some days a full moon is simply another 'lil ole thing' I blame their crazycake behavior on.

YES. Our bodies are 70% water. Considering how the moon affects the tides, it stands to reason that it would have some affect on us also.

I think so. My mom worked in nursing homes and swore it made a difference. I usually don't pay all that much attention to the moon phase until I look and notice a full moon. But there have been times I really think it has made my group nuts.

I definitely believe a full moon makes the crazies come out! Back when I bartended late nights, full moon nights were always the weirdest nights. Then, I worked with adults with disabilities on overnight shifts, and those nights always had some incident or another. Doing daycare, I always see the full Moon's effect on the kiddos, even down to the babies. They seem fussier and days just seem off.

I worked in the hospital's newborn nursery years ago and we would fight over NOT working during the full moon. Women would go into labor left and right, sometimes twice as many as any other typical night. And on full moons, the babies born were 98% girls.

In every job I've worked, all the crazies come out, is what we used to say when there's a full moon. Someone would notice and go OMG, there was a full moon, that's why! LOL There was always just either strange occurrences or weird situations with people.

I totally think the full moon makes things happen! I had both of my babies when there was a full moon and the daycare kids are WAY more hyper than normal!

I believe it! Today we're also having 40-60 mph wind. That stirs them up, too!

Prior to doing day care, I used to work in the customer service field. The week before a full moon was always busy. We would notice an increase in irate callers, check our calendars and sure enough... Right after the full moon, things would start to settle down and it would be business as usual until the next full moon.

My mother worked as a teachers aide and she would also swear there was a correlation between the kids' behavior and the full moon.

My day makes so much sense now that I realize it's a full moon.

An almost 5yo spit her water on another child. That's the cherry on top of many events. But, seriously? ::

My class was actually really, really well-behaved today. Maybe full moons actually make mine better?
