Send me the providers name and the number for the local licensing agency. I'll call myself. I wouldn't mind one bit.

If she was out of diapers how does she know he was only changed twice (all numbered diapers are gone so...)
The kids diapers are in little plastic bins by the changing table. Mom stacks them in her child's cubby when she arrives. She said she numbered them, and he only had on #2, yet the entire stack of diapers was gone. She is assuming the provider is using them for other kids or her own child.

The Mom called. She spoke to a coworker and the coworker apparently said "OMG CALL BEFORE A CHILD DIES!" and that was enough.

I am keeping older dck still, Mom is home with both kids today and calling/setting up interviews for younger dck.

I feel bad for her- but infant care is in HUGE demand here and she made no attempts at finding anyone until after the baby was born, so they ended up in a bind. They literally signed on with her the week before her maternity leave was over. I really think she thought her dh would let her SAH.

She had NO idea how to even check a license, or who to call for a daycare referral or reporting, etc. Most parents don't know the laws, ratios, regulations!
