So I used to do a weekly theme for circle time and I found it to be fun and easier to plan activities. I've gotten out of the habit and would like to do a little more planning this month. What are some of the themes you're incorporating this month if you do that?

I'm in my third year of Mother Goose Time, and I think they have a 3 year rotation, so I'm not sure if I'm going to renew this fall or not. I have all the materials they sent me, lesson books, manipulatives, etc. I think I'll be following along with their curriculum themes, but do it on my own. If you want to see the themes, you can go here: http://www.mothergoosetime.com/monthly-themes/
Click on each month and it will give you the letters, numbers, shape concept, color, and bonus manners lesson (friendly, honest, grateful, etc). I'm a big fan of how organized it is.- Flag

Birds migrate in March. I got an article for you:http://nwf.org/news-and-magazines/na...on-timing.aspx
You could do a lot with bird migration: bird watching (make cardboard tube binoculars), observation journals of which birds seen, scientific kids library books about birds, what the different eggs look like (ostritch egg, Robin egg, etc), make nests with nature materials gathered on a walk or in the yard, etc...- Flag
