There is a learning curve to these things. I use godaddy.com and I used their paid service to register my domain name with some search engines. For others, like google, I did it myself.

To register with Google, I ran a search, "register my website URL."

    This popped up: https://www.google.com/webmasters/to...ntinue=/&pli=1

I entered my website name and that was it. I did the same thing for yahoo and bing. I also created a Google business page for my childcare so that people could use Google maps to find me. The internet has been really helpful in keeping me full.

I think it's really cute, and the slide show didn't mess up anything for me.

My only suggestion is to keep the background the same on all pages. The first time I went from the Home page (chalk background) to another page (wood background) I thought maybe I'd accidentally gone to another website so I went back to double-check.

Looks great, looks professional and home-y.

I personally would suggest putting your contact info on the first page. Also, where it says, "Space is Limited" I would add "Now Enrolling".

Do you have fliers also? You could put those in grocery stores, etc. Especially if you have a co-op or organic-oriented stores. Are you allowed to transport? Can you take your current dck to library store times or other organized play-date type things in town? For me, I get almost all of my families from word of mouth and only about 1 out of 6 come from my website.

Just noticed-On your curriculum page, "independent" is spelled wrong. Sorry to be nitpicky.

ETA: I got my masters at Wayne State too! Mine's in Human Development.

Thank you! This makes sense. Now I have to decide between the two. ::

Thank you! Now enrolling sounds much better! I have made fliers and will be posting those around town this week. I don't plan to transport, I don't have a large enough vehicle. Right now since I'm just starting out, I don't really have many people, other than family and friends, to spread the word about my program.

Thank you so so much for catching that spelling error. I've looked at my website so much, along with my hubby and SIL, none of us caught it! So thank you! I appreciate it! ::
