My only suggestion would be on your rate page, change drop in to last minute. When I see drop in, I think of a daycare vs last min which makes me think you are coming to my house. I got slightly confused at that part.
    Everything else looks great!

That's what I was wondering. Yeh, I agree with you.

I think some parents want you to go by their schedule of plans or activities, not yours. Some might not want mess, paint, glitter at their house. Some might like you doing everything too but if you want to attract more people you might want to say you *can* do these activities or they can tell you what they want done, iykwim.

I'm going to chime in now that you've made some changes ... this is what I'd still change if your site and advertisement were my own ...

          Home Page
          • I'd add a photo or some sort of graphic. To me the main page needs to grab attention and right now it's sort of bland. I would add a long thin photo along the upper edge and possibly even the bottom edge too of something related to child care ... like if you have toys or learning materials that you take along with you I'd lay some out and take a pic and crop it out in a visually pleasing way. If not maybe going to a royalty free site and getting an image to crop that has to do with kids.

          About Me
          • I know you added a photo of yourself but ... I'd change the photo that you picked. The pic you have now is cute and silly but for me I guess I'm thinking about how at this point I have to sell myself and appeal to the parents. I'd want my first visual impression to them to portray professionalism and I'm not sure a selfie with a silly face makes that point. I would ask someone to help take a headshot a lot more like what ou see in a realtor advertisement. Then silly and more relaxed pics afterwards (JMO)
          • The part where you talk about your professional experience ... I read that and wondered why your home-daycare didn't work out. As a parent I would think "maybe shouldn'y get any kids", "why couldn't she get kids?". I would generalize instead of having how many years in each job/position. Something like ... Over 4 years experience in child care. I've worked in various child care settings and held a variety of positions including nanny, family child care owner, and after school program supervisor.... etc. I guess to me 1 year isn't a long time to be a business owner so if you group everything together it sound a little better.
          • I'm still not sure how I feel about adding the part about how you're a mother too under the Experience portion ... if I were to apply for a job at a center I wouldn't add that on the application under experience KWIM. I think it's important I just wouldn't put it under experience ... I would have a section about personal life where I would briefly describe my family life: married, kids, hobbies etc.

          Activities
          • I love the layout! And love the pics (they're your own?) It's fun, colorful, easy on the eyes and visually interesting.
          • The only thing that sort of bothers me is some of the words used and the grammar. There are a couple of incomplete sentences but maybe that's just something I notice because grammar is a big deal to me ... I'm a grammar natzi

          • This page is awesome. It's also visually appealing and interesting. Love the photo and it's great that you have a sample of what a day with you could look like.

I love the site! Only comment I have is of the pic of you and the child riding bikes, you're not wearing helmets! I know that is totally nit picky of me, but as a parent, I'd skip over you based on that (not so much you not wearing a helmet, but the child not wearing a helmet). Id be concerned because I feel it's an adult's responsibly to ensure his/her kids or kids in their care are wearing helmets when riding bikes, scooters etc. I'm not sure of the laws in your state, but in mine I know bike helmets are mandatory for kids. I'm overly picky/conscious of this because when I was in middle school a friend almost died while riding her bike when she was hit by a car, her helmet saved her life, although she still needed extensive rehab etc. due to other medical issues and missed months of school. Other than that, the site looks great and you come across as a fun and caring provider! Good luck!!
