What Is Appropriate Fee for Early Drop Off?

Now I have more than 1 family trying to drop off before contracted time. I nipped it in the bud saying no. However, if I choose to allow drop off before contracted time, what is an appropriate fee that is worth me waking up for but also high enough that it won't be abused.

I'm just tired of people asking the night before like they haven't known for days their schedule. Then Im the bad guy. Oh well

I don't have my own daycare, but for me to get up earlier I would charge $10. Under that doesn't seem worth it.

If it's before opening, I charge $1 per minute.

If it's just before their contracted time it's $5 for every 15 minutes.

Depends on how early, the earlier I have to get up the more it would cost them. I value my sleep pretty highly and I am not a morning person. On top of that, they better show up with coffee .

Thank you. This seems reasonable. Now Im thinking to collect money beforehand like day before because Ive had dcfs ask me to drop off before sched time and they don't show up until after regular time. Annoying!

            Oh definitely!

It's arranged AND paid for in advance.

If a parent just showed up before their scheduled time, I would tell them no and that they did not schedule the early drop off and since they didnt schedule it, I am not prepared to accept their kids into care any earlier than scheduled.
