    Woohoo!! I Did It!!!

As of this moment, I can actually afford to support myself!!!happyfacehappyfacehappyface

Okay, I know that sounds pathetic from a 44 year old woman, but you all know how broke I typically am. So the fact that I am FINALLY making the money that I need to make to pay my bills is VERY exciting to me!

And it's perfect timing too. My daughter just turned 18 years old a few days ago, so this month (February) is the last month that my ex is going to pay my rent for me and the last month that he will be too willing to help me with an occasional other bill as well. So I have been scared to death that I will literally be homeless soon for lack of being able to pay my bills. But, as long as I keep all of my daycare kids, I am actually able to pay all of my bills by myself!

Of course, I currently have bills that have not been paid for a while, so for the next probably 2 months, I will be very tight with money while I try to pay my past due balances. But, at least I finally have the income to actually see a light at the end of the tunnel.

Thank you! I'm just so relieved and today was the first time in months that I could relax my mind about being able to pay my bills.

Being able to financially support yourself is such an awesome feeling!

Thank you! I know it's sad that I'm on here saying that I have the income that I need to support myself. EVERY adult must make the income they need to support themselves!

But I have had my ex helping me financially and controlling my finances, and my daughter controlling what daycare kids I take in. If they came in too early and woke her up, she'd throw such a fit that I stopped watching the early kids and if they were too loud for her or whatever they did upset her too much, she'd whoop and holler about that child so much that I would stop watching them and wouldn't take new kids that behaved in ways that I knew my daughter would be upset about.

But about a month before my daughter turned 18, I stopped caring whether a child would upset her or not because I knew that I needed to worry more about supporting myself than making my daughter happy (well, keeping her from becoming abusive with me because she wasn't happy). And I started taking all the kids that came for an interview, no matter what time they start in the morning or what their behavior was like. I do have one boy who I am working on his behavior. But other than him, I have a fairly good group. I now open earlier than I had been, but I'm alright with it.

Now that I stopped letting my daughter dictate to me whether or not to keep or take a specific daycare child, and once I took control of my life, I filled all of my daycare spots and obtained the income that I need for myself within a month!
