    Infant Rooms

Why do so many daycare centers who have empty classrooms but are filled with infants and toddlers, not open up new infant rooms? Why do they not convert the empty pre-school rooms into an infant room? There must be a reason behind it.

Thanks in advance for any help. It is much appreciated!!

    Welcome to the forum!

I am not necessarily understanding what you are asking....

    Can you explain more?

Maybe b/c of ratios vs cost?
infant ratios can be 1/4 or 1/3, while ps can be 1/7 - 1/10.
Maybe they need to fill with ps to offset cost of care for infants?

There isn't much money in the infant rooms for centers.
