When I started my daycare in July, I filled all my spots very quickly. Well a dcf wasn't working out so I had to let them go. I am now having the hardest time finding a family that doesn't seem flaky. I did have a mom send me a fb message saying she wanted her daughter to start asap. I told her I would love to meet them sometime this week. She read the message and I haven't heard a thing back! I'm not going to let her daughter come without meeting them first even though I desperately need to fill this spot. I've already learned how important interviews are! I'm getting really discouraged. I love being home with my boys, but this business is stressful right now. Sorry, I just needed to let it out!

:hug: I find this aspect of the job super stressful!
I have 2 openings and another family is going on mat leave in April. I have been advertising/interviewing since the Fall and not having much luck. I did manage to fill one spot for the end of March but it's not looking busy, here, until summertime.
Just keep advertising, interviewing, and have faith that the right fit will come along. May take some time but they always do.

I'm in the same position right now. I'm trying my best to be positive but I've had some pretty questionable interviews, they didn't choose me and I was happy to not have to turn them down. One was even telling me how late I was going to have to work. I was appalled and I pretty much showed them the door right after that. Praying for a couple good families soon for all of us!!Comment
