    Throwing Food Down

I have a dcg who is 19 months. She sits in a booster eat at the table while we eat. She is constantly throwing food, her plate and sippie on the floor. I have been working with her for a long time with this. It is usually as she is getting full so she just chucks it. I have started taking everything away the first time she throws some but it is not deterring her. Any ideas?

    How long have you tried?
You could offer half a serving of everything then give her more when she finishes

I would give her half servings, then tiny bites more if she eats it all. I would also tell her that if she throws food, she's done (and I would put her straight down for a nap, too...not down to go play).

This is pretty much how I would handle it also.

I have been trying to teach her it's not okay to throw our food for a good solid couple weeks to a month.

Can she signal or say that she is all done? I would reinforce this with her and then take away her lunch when she starts throwing. I would also stop giving her a plate and put her back in a high chair with a tray.
