sad dcb is leaving but what a golden family

Just wanted to spread some positivity.

I have had 18 mo dcb in my care for about 10 weeks so far. Never been in daycare before, only spoken to at home in parent's language, only naps at home when held to sleep and still cosleeps with mom and dad.

He was a gem to care for. Slept on his own for over 2 hour naps, ate our food, played and socialized well, even understood english so well. I love him so much.

Gma is coming back from their country so against moms will she has to pull him. They always paid on time, and were so respectful pf my hours. She does not want to take him out but has no choice. She also traveled 30 mins from home to my daycare, and 40 mins to work.

Today she told me how sad she is and that she loves us and it made me so happy. My husband and I have had a couple problems with people stereotyping us because a) my husband works in the daycare with me b)our ethnicities, and c) I look extremely young. So to have this family love us so much and be a dcf we would all love to have, it's sad to see them go.

She even gave 2 weeks notice and is paying me although he will only use 2 days of his last week. Hope this brightened your day.

Awesome! Be sure to ask about using her as a reference.

Why is there no other choice for her? G'ma could have him pt and so could you? If she loves you so much....just sayin'. And who knows, g'ma might find she'd like a little time away too. But it's nice to hear dcm is having family close by. That's always a blessing.
If he does go for good, I'm sorry. When that true bond between dck and provider happens, it's difficult.

Her husband is the one who made the decision. She didnt even have a say in her motherinlaw coming back to stay with them. If it was up to her she would keep him ft but dad said no, i guess to save money. And im not doing pt at the moment bc I have so many people interested in ft care. She said hopefully theyll be gone only for a few months and theyll stay updated with me to see if I have a spot for dcb.
