I wonder how may of those kids are really hungry or are they just bored? I would just make sure to serve a protein with snack each day. They shouldn't need another snack at 5. (jmo). Maybe offer plenty of water to. (to help fill in the chinks)

We count afternoon snack until 5 pm and we give our pre k children afternoon immediately after nap which ends at 2 pm. Our snack includes full strength juice and a type of grain or protein.
I will post our daily snack menu below:
Monday: Graham crackers & milk
Tuesday: Goldfish & Juice
Wednesday: Animal crackers & Juice
Thursday: Go-gurt & Juice
Friday: Bugles & Juice
We are on the food program and all of these count as our countable meals. The kids enjoy it and its easy on us.
