Just A Couple Fun Silly Things

Yesterday I only had 2 dcgs so it was a fun low key day. I had bought foam pieces(Dollar Tree) and we cut them into shapes, stuck them in water and made window pictures; they stick pretty well. They had so much fun with that! Another thing we did was blow up balloons and rub them in our hair, then did whatever we could come up with to play with static electricity. Their fav thing was when I put them on the ceiling and how magical it was to just watch them up there, then trying whatever they could think of to get them down. We also batted them around using fly swatters and paper towel tubes.

That sounds like a fun day!!! I've got a young group now. My four yo and 16 mo, along with a 2 year old and 4 mo old. It's hard to do any type of actual activity, but we stop to read every few minutes all day long. 16mo ds is suddenly obsessed with books so he brings them to me & even the 4mo relaxes to read with us. Also, if they get fussy I randomly start singing any song that requires motions. They all run to jump in on the song. It is so cute!

Yes, music always helps this group too! I hadn't sung Who Stole the Cookie From the Cookie Jar for a very long time and it popped into my head the other day. They thought it was so funny as we went around and took turns being the cookie thief. But I think their favorite song here lately is You Are My Sunshine.
