    High Quality Play Food?

I have been looking for high quality play food to invest in, such as Learning Resources brand. I have been reading reviews, and many of them are mixed.

I wish things weren't made so cheaply these days. I also wish I had saved my toys from when I was little. I had the best Fisher Price kitchen set, with awesome food sets. The food was hard plastic too, and not cheap or cardboard!

I'm not sure if this is the quality that you're looking for, but I get the fabric play food from IKEA. Not only is it at a great price, but that food looks so interesting and the children love it.
I also have a wooden set from Melissa and Doug. I plan on breaking that out later in the year when my toddlers are a little bit older.

The felt set from Ikea is great! I also have a few sets of Plan Toys wooden food and they are wonderful too!

I buy a lot of the "rubber-like" foods from Lake Shore or Kaplan Early Childhood catalogs. They last a long time and are washable too.

My littles (infants/toddlers) have fabric and crocheted food items in their kitchen centers. They are washable too!

I like the rubber sets from Lakeshore too. Everything I've purchased from Lakeshore so far has been really high quality, so I check them if I'm looking for something that I want to last a long time.

            Learning Resources.

I went to the NAEYC conference this past fall and there was so much cute stuff in their booth. Salad sets, waffle sets, kabobs, sushi. I wanted to buy it all.

I have a few sets of their "Healthy Living" food baskets in my room - it is super detailed and realistic, the correct portion sizes for kids and very durable. I love it.
