    Play Snow?

It's freezing here but we have hardly an snow.

I saw a recipe for play snow with hair conditioner and baking soda and thought it might be worth a shot. But then I seemed to recall it being mentioned here. Did anyone make this? Did it work or was it just a mess?

    was it this one?

    Frozen Snow Recipe
2 large boxes of baking soda
Up to 1/2 a bottle of hand lotion or hair conditioner

Slowly combine the baking soda and lotion/hair conditioner in a sensory bin or large storage container and mix well. Continue to add more lotion and mix it in until the desired consistency is reached. You want the snow to be moist and mold-able but not too wet.

My grandkids did this and it was ok because they are older... for littles they may try & eat it . It is packable & cold so you can make "snow" balls

We love the baking soda and conditioner snow! Each kid gets their own dollar store tote of it and we bring out the plastic winter animals and lincon logs to add to it. This week we're adding sticks, rocks etc. My 20 month old has to be supervised constantly while using it though. But my 2.5+ kids do just fine with it on their own!

Our recipe was 3 cups baking soda,1/2 cup conditioner. We did add a bit more conditioner to make it easier to roll to build snowmen

I've done it. It was pretty neat and smelled really good.
A little messier then playdoh but it made your hands feel amazing after.
