The other day I was asking about equipment for a nine month old potential child, well dcm let me know yesterday that they do want me to be their childcare provider happyface They chose me over someone who lives closer to them even. I will have the nine month old part time (set days each week, though, which is nice to finally get since everyone else has varying days so far), and their six year old will just be occasional since she already has someplace that she goes to and doesn't want to leave. Originally it sounded like she wanted me to watch both of them so she could drop both off at the same time and not be making two different stops, but she must have changed her mind since dcg 6 is happy where she is. Hopefully everything goes well for them actually starting... of course things could change since I don't have their first week's payment or forms yet, but I don't think they'll be that flaky. They already agreed to my policies without any question so there shouldn't be any problem there... I gave them a pretty good sibling discount too (which I quoted the rate with the discount before I found out they only needed care for the youngest, so I kind of regret that, but that's okay. I'll take a lower rate to have a good family
).
Their hours are perfect (no later than 4:30, possibly earlier, and I don't have anyone else after 4:30 either, so I will be able to continue getting off early), the days are perfect, the baby seems so happy and easy going, and is already on a schedule very similar to what I do here, and dcm seems easy going herself, as well as easy to get along with, so I couldn't ask for a better family (or so it seems)
The only draw back I see is they don't need care in the summer or school breaks, but oh well
By summer I may have someone else who needs summer and school breaks only (Like dcg 7 does, who I currently have).
