    Troops Christmas Cards

Does anyone know if it's too late to send Christmas cards to troops?

Do you know where to send them to?

    I would appreciate any information.

    Thank you!!!

This is NOT for Christmas cards, as they start sending these boxes in Feb, after Christmas packages have slowed down. But it is a great program. https://www.daycare.com/forum/showth...ruckers+troops

      This is wonderful!!!

I do art projects every single day with the kids. I'm going to implement this into a regular project for them to do as long as they don't mind hand made drawings and cut out cards.

No, I think they prefer them. Many school children make cards to send. Just don't do them for a holiday, because they are put in boxes through the year to send to the troops. The boxes all weigh at least 70 pounds, and contain everything from socks to silly string (which is a favorite of the troops they say!). The boxes are designed not for one service person, but the whole unit. We always renew our membership during the Truckers For Troops drive when a portion of our dues goes to this program.

My has been sending cards to the troops for the last couple of years. She said she sent them through the Red Cross but that the deadline was 12/15. You might want to check with your local Red Cross to see if they can give you any info. Maybe each Red Cross office has different a different deadline??
