I am still doing a bunch of christmas stuff, but we really just started it this week. We made ceramic christmas tree ornaments for parent gifts, and we've been making cookies to give them too.
Hmm I could be wrong but I just read that you can count meals at restaurants (which ordering pizza would be the same thing) as long as the meal portions and requirements were followed. (so mcD would not count because of the lack of veggies but you could add that yourself to make it count)
Plus frozen pizza for me only counts for crust.
    I would question it.

I had party plans and projects prepped for next week, but all my families have decided to stay home since school is out for older siblings. happyface Merry Christmas to me.

I will box it up and use it next year if any should choose to come.

We haven't done any crafts, including the parent one.
And the last two days have been so beastly that the kids went down the nap early

I wish that were the case here. No restaurant food can be claimed, or frozen pizza. I went rogue when I ordered that pizza yesterday.

Yes, this is us, as well.

Well.... we did try the parent one and it was a pinterest fail. :: Our ornaments cracked and fell apart. Luckily the dcks all seem to have forgotten about making them and they have not been missed. We were going to try again today (with a different recipe) and I just sent 2 home (sick again!) and the other was in need of an early rest period.

            There is always next week!

If your new recipe is successful, will you please share it? Ours cracked last year, so I wasn't sure about trying again.

                We are using this: http://allrecipes.com/recipe/11126/d...nament-recipe/

The one that cracked was this:
This 3-ingredient recipe makes the best white clay for kids' crafts and Christmas ornaments. Get the quick and easy recipe here.

We didn't bake them so maybe that was the issue. Which was too bad, because the dough felt nice. However, not willing to try again at this point.

I've used the all recipes one before and still have the ornaments from that recipe.

We had out party today, such as it was. All the dcks were interested in was the cookies and the presents. Pretty typical. I'm not sure why I thought they'd need other activities. We played gingerbread playdough and decorated graham cracker houses and watched Frosty the Snowman. Couple projects we had planned we'll be doing tomorrow.
I also had to send 2 lil tots home because they had diarrhea right before lunch. Big sis had it so it came as no surprise.
Omigosh, one of my dcfs gave me an envelope with 3 gift cards in it. I was so shocked and told dcm they were overly generous. She said 'but you're like their 2nd mom to them!'. I almost cried.
