I might also add a picture for the middle but I don't want them to get overwhelmed!
I feel like that too but I can never figure out what to make. I actually have cut way way back on our crafts. After about the past month when I'm outside with the kids when they get picked up and I see the crafts that we've done recently laying on the car floor or stuffed in the side compartment of the door of car. I get that they don't need to keep everything, but I've had parents comment on maybe we'll do a craft today etc and then to see them trashed. Yea, not doing that anymore.

the best markers to use are oil based paint markers and when you first put them in the oven make sure the oven is cold that way it can slowly heat up

Anything with a photo of their child. Every parent loves a picture/pictures of their child. One year I was super lazy and took a picture of the whole group. Then had it printed at Walgreens as a Christmas card. They loved it. Granted the kids didn't make it though. They could make a card and then you could slip it in the card.

An easy way for those so young they can only scribble is to give them a white paper with a red and green crayon. Let them scribble away. Then place a cookie cutter over the spot on their paper of scribbles that looks the best and trace the shape and cut it out. That way they made it but it still looks recognizable to an adult.

To make a baby handprint or footprint, wet the baby's hand and press hand onto construction paper. Then hurry up and draw around it before it dries. This is much easier than trying to draw around a baby's wiggling hand.
