    Update on My Hitter

I just wanted to thank everyone who read and commented on all of my many posts about my hitter. 5 months later and the he is a lot better!

What worked is setting up a separate area for him to play in when he hits. I gave him a few soft toys only, vecause he also liked to throw things. After a few minutes I would let him out, and then when he hit, he would be right back in again.

We went through a phase where he would come up to me and say, "I want to hit so-and-so!" At least he told me first. Now we are pretty much over the hitting, with the occasional set back.

The final piece to the puzzle was giving him lots and lots of love. I gave him positive attention, before he started seeking negative attention.

I know - I thought it would never happen! I hope it encourages someone else to not give up on a little one who is difficult. Because this boy was difficult.
