      Yay for you!!!
Changes like that always make me nervous. If I may ask, how much notice did you give and how much of an increase?
I've been wanting to increase my rates 5 bucks a week but just haven't done it. My last direct increase was probably 4 years ago.

Haha, I wish! The very same week I sent out the notices to parents I received a letter from my health ins company stating that my plan will be raised beginning in 2016. The combined money I will get each month from the tuition increase is only $5 more then the increase in my health ins

Josie, I was so very nervous too. But after much hemming and hawing I decided to just do it and increase everyone by $5 per week; I gave a 30 day notice of the changes but requested signed and completed contracts and updated parent HB within one week. No one (so far) balked at the increase.

My center just did a $5/week increase. Most were fine with it (we're one of the most expensive centers in the area anyway), but I know a few tried to negotiate. The only one that succeeded in the negotiations was the parent who agreed to bring in doughnuts for staff every Friday morning at open. They let her keep the old rates and now we all get doughnuts.
