I must be the biggest meanest ogre alive.

I ask 2 yo dcg to put away her dinosaurs, it's time to get ready for quiet time, she wails and carries on.
I ask another dcg(almost 4 yo) to go potty and get her pull-ups on for quiet time, she wails and cries.
I ask dcgs to please be quiet because it's now time to rest their bodies. They have stuffed animals they lay down with. I tell 2 yo dcg she needs to be quiet or I'll take her stuffed animals away. She's not so I do and she....yep, wails and carries on.
They were playing with stepping stones this a.m., I warned them the lil tots(16 months)will want some too and that's okay, there are plenty so they can play with them too. Next thing I know 2 of the dcgs are trying to wrangle a stepping stone out of a lil tot's hands, making her cry. So I took them away from the 2 and said they lost the privilege of playing with them but gave 1 to the lil tot. My goodness, you'd have thought I cut off the 3 1/2 yo's leg or something.
Is it just Monday or is this typical behavior of 2's and 3's?? My 3 1/2(4 in January)throws the biggest fit if I upset her mindset in any way.

    Arrgh....
Maybe the day is going like this because I woke up at 4:45 and said oooh I don't have to get up, it's still the weekend. Then I realized...

I can handle when the kids do this, it is the parents that get to me.....had a parent leave this morning crying.....said she thinks I don't like her.... all because I expect her to 'FOLLOW THE RULES'....::

/\ This must be in the air. I had one leave that way this morning as well. Like my being willing to ignore my own policies makes us friends... I don't need friends like that. Meh.

The kids have been riding that mood swing hard, but we have not seen the sun in a few weeks, now. Bring on the warm baked goods and play tunnels, they work wonders.

I think sometime there is something in the water or something. Of course it is the time of year for weather changes and I swear that creates chaos sometimes.

Monday are always tough, it seems. The kids spend the weekend without schedules, often with out naps, and usually without consequences. It always takes about 1/2 a day for me to help them remember how things work at my house. By they time they wake up from nap, all will be golden.

Mondays are rough here because parents don't nap their kids. But it does make for a wonderful Monday nap time!
