    Friday morning

My early crew gets here at 4:45 am and all but one has fallen back to sleep. What a great start for a good Friday!!! They usually wake my daughter up way too early and she's grumpy all day .

Do they usually stay awake? That would be horrible! When I had kids that came at 5:30 they both went back to sleep till 7:00.

    That's rough!

This is only the second week of them coming that early, mom's work shift changed. I'm trying to get them all three to lie back down on my sofas, I leave the lights very low and play soft music but one of them is usually raring to go and starts pulling out toys first thing and one or two are starving, etc. I'm thinking of putting up all toys but that's so much extra work...might be worth it though. Two of these guys go to school and are picked up within 10 minutes of getting here after school. I'm also trying to teach them to wait until at least 6:00 before starting breakfast but I feel like a big old meanie when they're asking for food and I ask them to wait. My last child is picked up by 5:00 at the very latest and usually by 3:30 so I don't really mind the early mornings to get to be finished so early.

If they are hungry when they wake up, the parent should feed their child before bringing them to care.

I require parents to feed their kids if their kid will be hungry before my next scheduled meal time.
