    Alabama

Does anyone know in the state of Alabama how many children are allowed to keep in your home before you're considered a daycare?

From what I read it looks like ZERO... it specifically states you are not allowed to advertise for childcare in anyway unless you are already licensed or have a 6 month permit according to regulations; family home is up to 6 children (no more than 3 under 12 months), group home 7-12 children

Also if you rent you have to have landlords written permission first

Alabama is so crazy. I bought a building for the purpose of opening a daycare went through all the inspections got my business license and all, 3 months later the state says they didn't rezone my place so this is my fault. Now, they refuse to rezone us. I'm at my house now and I watch my niece and 3 nephews, and sometimes my God daughter.
