    Fall Newsletter topics?

I've decided to create my own little fall newsletter to remind my DC parents about any holidays, my illness policy and procedures, etc. just something handy to have Just in case. What else might you include? I've read where others do theirs, but I've lost tabs on those posts

    Thanks in advance!

I do a weekly newsletter. It can be a bit much at times, but I just switched over from doing a blog and I like it better. I can individualize it very easily. I include topics revelant to the people at daycare. For instance, I had many kids interested in dance, so I included a blurb about the benefits about dance for kids. I talk about my preschool versus local preschools, our schools Young 5 program, kindergarten, what we did each day in preschool, and I also like to include family events around the area they may not know about.

I might talk about how the weather is changing and the parents will meet to update their childs cubby box to support the cooler weather.

i might in a fun activity for everyone to participate in like a pumpkin decorating contest or a family halloween decorating contest of some kind.

I would also add in a small amount about your menu, your lessons, fun things you don't normally do. For example will you have a halloween party? Or if it's about fall, will you celebrate fall> If so how?

I do a bi-weekly handout of our curriculum and lessons. I go by week, not date, so that next year I only have to copy what was already given out.

Do you do show and tell?

What about including some dates and times of fall/Halloween events that are going on in your community?

I do a monthly newsletter. All the parents favorite section is Kids Say the Darndest Things, where I write funny things the kids have said that month.

                I do newsletters seasonally.

I remind parents of our topics/themes
Closed days and special event dates
Policies that need reminders or apply to that particular season
Book suggestions and snack and meal ideas/tips etc

Just sent mine out right before I saw this

It has our themes, a sample of the books we will read, special activities, small reminders (be careful here not to take everyone to task if only one client is doing something wrong) important dates, etc.

I started sending mine over email to save paper.
