    Licensing in Tennessee?

Can anyone give me information on opening a family daycare in Tennessee? We are looking to move there from Southern California. I've looked at the website but I'm still a bit confused.

click on child care licensing offices and it will bring up pdf form where you can see contacts for all counties.

Yeah, I looked there but I didn't get much out of it. In California they have very specific steps for providers like taking CPR/first aide and how to get your home ready etc. ...I'm looking for specifics from current providers in TN

Providers homes have to be fire, health & environment, etc. approved before opening. If I am correct, you will then receive temp license for so many days then permanent licensing. Then you will receive a report card based on QRIS criteria each year following.

yes, cpr and first-aid are a must! The rules have changed so much from when I became licensed over 20 years ago. I am sure you could call to get a definite answer!
