    NOW it feels like fall!

The weather is just about perfect. Scratch that, it IS perfect! I bought 2 nice pumpkins and a huge gorgeous pot of bright yellow mums, found my scarecrow and will probably beg for cornstalks from my neighbor this weekend.
The inside of my home is decorated with kid-created fall leaves/pictures and apples beside an apple tree on my kitchen door, plus a basket of gourds.
My backyard maple tree is dropping leaves like crazy, as 1 dcm is always mentioning her dd's (African-American) hair is always filled with dirt and leaves. Oops, sorry. But she's been having a ball chasing everybody else around with 2 handfuls of leaves, I can't stop her.

This is definitely my favorite time of the year.lovethis
    Good day for making applesauce.

I wish! In Florida our weather is miserable most of the year. I was so meant to be a northerner! Today the temp is 89 with a feels like temp of 94. I can't wait until the weather drops below a high of 80. A power bill lower than $200 sounds like heaven!

Lucky you, it was 101 in southern ca today...
Can't wait for some relief from this hot weather. No matter wha anyone says September is always the most miserable month of the year. Hopefully by the beginning of October we'll have some relief!

Ooh fun! What'd ya get? I went to the Dollar Tree today, looking for things. They had lots of fall/Halloween stuff but I ended up with only 4 big spiders, some fake leaves. I've got some pine cones I can throw in but I just couldn't find much. Maybe I wasn't feeling inspired.

I got some window clings from dollar tree in fall theme and put paper cuts outs of trees and squirrels etc-also found at dollar tree into our fall sensory bin. Along with some popcorn kernels. The kids had a fun time on Friday sticking the window clings to the paper cut outs and then finding that the kernels stuck to the clings. It was a lot of fun! I also put measuring cups in there and a small dish with a lid to see what items make noise when shaken. Lots of random items but totally fun!

I got some fake leaves, straw, gourds and mini pumpkins. And a plastic tablecloth to go under it for easy clean up. I think it will be a hit considering how much fun my son was having when we were assembling it.
