    Incorrect pronoun usage?

dcg- almost 4 says them incorrectly EVERY SINGLE TIME. It's to the extent that the other children are correcting her.

Her said hers not going. Also, I/you/he/she/them, etc. almost ALWAYS wrong. Developmentally on track otherwise.

I have been repeating correctly every single time... for 2 years.

I have one too! Although her only one is "she". She says she no matter who she's talking about. If it's a male, I always repeat the sentence she said, and say HE in place of she. It's to the point that the other daycare kids do it too! Lol. Dcg said, "Ryan doesn't come here anymore. She goes to school." 2 year old dcg said, "HE! HE goes to school!"

I have to believe she will get it eventually.

My sweet loving dh uses double negatives a lot. Sometimes I wonder if he's teasing me. Let's hope her teachers can correct this...

I have one also! She is very dutchy and hard to understand, but I always hear "her did this...her took my toy...her is mean to me...her is wearing a hat..." all day long. haha I usually just repeat it back correctly, but don't make a big deal about it. I think her parents find it cute b/c when mom tells me stories about dcg she repeats things exactly as dcg says it and engages in a bit of baby talk with her.

I have a 4 year old boy that does also. He doesn't do it every time but he definitely does it a lot. If you can convince the parents, it's a good idea to have her evaluated by a speech and language pathologist. She's getting close to Kindergarten and if you've been modeling for 2 years without success, it's time to get a speech path involved.

I also found this post about pronoun reversal

The 4 year old I have is also developmentally on track and really bright but he's always struck me as a little quirky . . . After reading this, I wondered if he might be high functioning ASD.
