Sometimes it is not worth the fight...

DCM (Family I had issues with last week on pick up and was willing to terminate) asked for 4 days a week- no Fridays. At first I was like no... then I thought about it. That leaves me 2 and 3 yr old girls (who play brilliantly together most of the time)- possibly my 5 mo old baby boy or a drop in and 5 yo brother of 3 yo before and after school. Everyone will be picked up by 5...
credited them $20 (not a full day) she is happy and I am thinking I just got a good deal for my $20!! Rewriting their contract for her to sign on Monday.
We shall see how long it is before they want their Fridays- which will be more than the $20 for drop in care!

This is how I eventually ended up with Fridays off!! I ended up with only one family contracted on Fridays and then she ended up getting a 4 day work week and I gladly gave the lower rate to be off on Fridays. Now I offer up a Friday once in a while so any of the mom's can get other stuff done, take their "me" days, etc. at my full day rate and I end up with some nice extra money!!

Well I told my dh that if I interview the perfect family, I will terminate them. But, I am starting a new baby in 2 weeks and this will be nice (new baby is with one of my long time families and they have always been a part time spot- music teacher mom)
