    I Must Be Losing It

So I've got 5 dcks in diapers. That's 5 out of 6. Fun times. I have them placed in order on top of my cubbies, as to how their cubbies go. I know....don't ask me why I didn't mark them. Stupid I know. But I had a system that was working well enough for me.
I wrote on one dcm's daily note last Friday that I'd need diapers this past Monday. Well dcd picked up last week so she never saw the note. I mentioned it Monday and she said 'that's weird, she must have gone through them extra fast.' I thought um, ok.
Then I noticed another dcg was low so I wrote on her note she'd need them.
Both these dcgs happen to use the same size, all the others are different. I'm looking on top of the cubbies this a.m., before everybody arrived and thinking uhoh, where'd that extra package of diapers come from???
I seriously do not remember whose they are. But I've got all the others marked now.

Fortunately I only have two in diapers at the moment but have definately been there with a majority of the group in diapers, kids are wearing diapers until 4 these days!
I keep a sharpie in the cubby area and put the childs name on the pkg. As soon as they come in.

Out of my 12, only 4 are completely potty-trained....I have 2 that are close to being potty-trained. The rest are in diapers. Yep, 8 kids under 3 yrs old....This happens about every 5 years when I lose several to Kindy. Lost 5 kids since June to Kindy so it has been a challenge BUT I like the idea of job security for a while!

        I had all 6 in diapers ::
I supplied the diapers and only needed two sizes so that made changes really easy

I use a shoe organizer thing that hangs from the bathroom door. Each kid gets a row. Their name is on a sticky in one of the pouches. Extras that don't fit in their row go in a giant ziplock with their name on it under the sink

I have forgotten to check under the sink before and ended up with a TON of diapers for one kid oops!

I have 4 in diapers and label everything. One of my mom's used to call me the label queen because she thought it was funny that I would label each item. With 5 DCK's and my own child - I have to

I have the parents write on the package so I know who it belongs to. I also write their name on their diaper bucket. I have a closet that stores a shallow white bucket with their name on it and inside of it is their wipes, cream and diapers or pull ups.

I also only email the parents a request for supplies because years ago i had a mom go off on me saying I was requesting diapers too often. She was only giving me about 10 at a time and her child was full time. I require that they supply me with a full package, but this mom just refused, hints past tense talk, they are no longer with me.

I started counting the diapers and would email her back and say thank you for the 10 diapers, I will be requesting more in about 2-3 days.

When dcm would tell me I just gave you some, i would send her back the email showing her, you only gave me 10 and of course the date was right there in her face. they only last about 3 months in my program before I kicked them out....

I work in a 3 year old room at a center, but we've got three in diapers and five in pull-ups who are potty training. Naturally, all four of the potty training boys wear the same size and same brand pull-up. Plus two of the diaper kids are in the same size/brand.

We put everyone's in extra cubby box containers that are label with the child's name. I have no idea where my center bought them, but they're huge. We can easily fit two full packs of pull-ups in one. Diaper creams are locked in a cabinet since regs require them to be locked up here.

10 diapers? :: I go through at least 5 a day, and that's if they don't have a particularly poopy kinda day.

i don't know why, but most of my kids don't poop here. I think it could be because when someone poops the older kids get really grossed out. they all start plugging their noses and say eeewww yuck.... It's nice to not have to change poop .....

I had a dcd who picks up daily and he says as soon as they get home dcg poops. he jokingly said can you teach her how to do that as soon as mom gets home too.... he is a stay at home dad and dcg comes for preschool only program. super funny...

Josie I just started two brothers who are both in diapers and I already had a 16 month old in diapers. I haven't had more than one in diapers for a loooong time! Let's just say it's been interesting!!::
Since my space is limited I'm going to be trying to find a storage solution that keeps them separated but accessible (for me and not the kids!) thankfully the sizes are different but it's all the same brand (Luvs) so if you're grabbing quick you might miss the number on the front.

I have it in my parent handbook book that parents need to individually label each diaper with their child's first name or first and last initials.

I supply all of the diapers. Parents bring a case of wipes every couple of months and are made aware it's community wipes and not specific for their child. It helps with issues of too small diapers or blow outs and not enough diapers. My rates reflect it and I buy diapers in bulk so it's not too costly on my part.

My cubbies each have 2 shelves for each child with baskets. I keep changes of clothes and outdoor access in one and diapers and wipes in the other. There's enough room to store about a half sleeve of diapers. Extras just go in the big part of the cubby. Each child has their own so I don't get mixed up thankfully.
