I am in CA and recently moved. Almost two weeks ago I sent in the paperwork for a location change. Today, I received a certified envelope from licensing. Enclosed was my paperwork and check, along with a notice stating the fees had change and I was to send a new check. Can anyone guess how much I was off by? 50 CENTS!!! I am so irritated. What the heck did you spend money to mail me a certified letter for if youre so concerned about .50? Not even to mention the fact that last year when I first applied for a license I thought I was going to open a large daycare and sent the fee for that, later I decided to go with a small because of the fire regulations. I was told the extra $70 or so would be applied to future fees. Well obviously not! I could have screamed when I opened that today! Sorry for this, but thank you for the space to do so. Hope youre all having a happy hump day...I think I'll take a glass (I mean bottle) when the last kid leaves tonight.

If they still have 70 bucks of yours, I'd make sure they either return it(minus the .50) or do credit you in the future!
My dd received a certified letter yesterday, it costs the company over 6 bucks to mail it here. I told her about it(she now lives 16 hours away), I opened it for her and she said they sent me that in an email. :confused:- Flag

They changed our background check fees here, I had an old form and I sent a check for the amount on the old form. Got a call saying I owed $4.50.
Me: Great, can I pay you over the phone?
Them: Yes, but not me. Here are 2 other phone numbers, they can take your money.
Me: Ok...why don't they just call me?
Her: They don't have the authority.
????
It took 6 phone calls and 2 days to pay the $4.5 :confused:- Flag
