@mommyneedsadayoff If I were you I would text the DCM and tell her you totally understand her concern but you have to worry about liability on your end too and that since the mom has been that concerned more than once you would not feel comfortable allowing DCG to return to care without seeing a Dr so that the Dr can assure BOTH mom and you that DCG is fine and there are no underlying issues that could come back to bite you.

I allow a little "craziness" from new moms but sometimes you simply have to protect yourself and let the mom figure it out herself. I think allowing her to even continue discussing or mentioning it over and over without her actually doing anything about it is just spinning your wheels without getting anything other than attention.
I sent her a text and told her she should schedule an appointment before dcg comes back. I will see what she says, but I just explained that if she is concerned, then I am concerned and would feel much more comfortable if she was checked out and everything is ruled out. happyface

Thanks so much for the support! It has been over two hours since I sent the messagemail and she has always replied super quick, so either it annoyed her, or she has not seen it or she has and is not happy...we shall see!

Trying to give her the benefit of the doubt but I am guessing she is trying to figure out a way to NOT have to go to the Dr and stand behind her words/actions/concerns.

I am NOT saying she is lying, I am simply saying she liked the attention but now she HAS to do something about it and more than likely she KNOWS it (the black eyes/tired eyes) was nothing and a doctor visit is soooo not necessary but she said it so now she has to back it up/stand by it.

This will help her in the long run as she will seek advice/support etc in the future in a different way compared to what happened this time around. kwim?

I am sure you are probably right. Still no word, so unless she has lost phone service or internet connection, she should have responded by now. I just have a yucky feeling this is not the end of it.

She took her this morning and you will never believe it!

She is a perfectly healthy 7 month old!

Doc said the tiny red mark under her eye is just from rubbing it...where have I heard that before? Oh yeah, that was the very first thing I told her

She wasn't too chatty today, so she might be annoyed I made her go to the doc, but at least we can now put the issue behind us! Till the next non existent problem arises

                    Glad it worked out ok.

When the next issue does arise, stand your ground. Allow a couple questions/comments etc about it but if it continues to be THE topic of conversation with no action, insist that it be addressed and laid to rest.

....beating a dead horse does no one any good and just keeps the cycle going.... "ain't nobody got time for that".
