Daycare boy moving on-sad Momma

The child that I had been so concerned about finished here on Friday. I didn't have to officially term him, and it was mostly a mutual decision, so it was sad. He needs more than I can offer here and it was time for him to move on. He's going to a good place, and I know he will do well eventually.

But Mom is sad. We both cried, and I've felt bad about this all week. I just got a text from mom that she was really sad and trying to adjust to the idea of going somewhere else in the morning.

I'm glad that we meant so much to her, but it made me sad all over again, even knowing it had to happen for everybody's sake.

Not really needing a pep talk, just wanted to put it somewhere and you guys were my safest bet.

Everyone will adjust and time will heal. It's still hard though, when someone has been a part of your lives for awhile. We do get attached. But it's nice that you and dcm had/have such a nice relationship.
