How Many Days Off Is Too Many?

How do you decide what is to many days to take off. I don't charge for them everything is un paid except for Stat holidays. From September to Septemper right now I have 10 holidays and 19 vacations days. Looking at it like this seems crazy but I'm getting married this summer.

What do you normally take? I take almost every Fed holiday paid, plus 3 weeks vacation unpaid each year. Parents know about this well in advance. But I also mostly have teachers kids or parents with work at home options.

I take all federal holidays paid. I also take 1 week off at Christmas (unpaid) and 1-2 weeks off during the summer (unpaid).

If I have to take days off for illness or emergency, it's unpaid and I take as many as I need (typically max of 4 or so per year, although last year my mom died and I took 1-1/2 weeks off).

I take all holidays paid, and two weeks in summer unpaid. Starting January 1st though, I am making some changes. I have neglected myself as far as appts go (doctor, dentist, eye doctor etc.) for years, pushing it to going once a year - if that- instead of a couple times a year. I haven't been to the eye doctor in 3 years! :dislike: I am giving myself the last Friday of every other month off (6 days total) extra. It will be so much easier making my kids and myself regular appts! happyface

I take 10 holidays per year paid (mostly federal holidays) and up to two weeks unpaid. Last year I took 6 of the 10 days.

I take 2 weeks Christmas break, 1 week either spring or summer depending on when my own family takes a vacation, Thanksgiving, a couple state/federal holidays, and 6 personal/ sick days all paid. I decided not to take all the state/federal holidays because I am closed on Fridays.
