I just emailed my very first "offering you the spot" email to potential daycare family! I have never had the guts to do the "I have several interview for the spot this week and will let you know by Friday" thing before and I had the guts to do it this time AND it was true happyface I feel soooo professional. When I typed the letter I used all the awesome phrases I have learned on here. I even addressed my 2 concerns with the family, asking them to seriously consider whether those two issues will be a problem here (pick up time - they explained they will make it work at the interview but it seemed tricky and younger sibling will stay with previous provider until I have a spot) and if they don't feel it is 100% the best choice that's ok to pass. I gave them 24 hours to let me know, and the other family I interviewed (who I like pretty well, but didn't click with parents quite as easily) isn't expecting to here from me until Friday, so I can offer it to them if 1st family decides not to. It feels so great.

LOL!! Even creepier is my friend (a fellow provider who lives down the road from me) says that ALL the time......

She said, it's like the good angel on one shoulder and what should be a devil on the other, only in her mind it looks like me. ::

So, with that I will be your power animal any time!

If I can share even a shred of backbone with other providers I will feel good knowing I helped in some way...even a teeny tiny way.... since even the smallest adventures begins with a single step.
