DCB3 has been challenging. He has been here 2 months. He throws toys, punches, scream etc. Parents are super respectful overall, pay on time, pick up on time, say thank you etc. But little dude is hard. He has gotten better. His melt downs end faster now. But they are intense, and upset the other children. After working with him for 2 months, he is 99% potty trained at my house. The kid is overall trainable but is a nightmare with parents.
Well, last night a pick up dcm says they got him into the fancy preschool they were on the wait list for (I think he needed potty trained to go and that's why the timing...
) and says she is giving me 2 weeks notice to switch from fulltime (M-F) to only coming Thursdays and Friday. I couldn't help myself I just started laughing. What a relief to to have an excuse to term :
: Nope, no way I can fill a MTW spot...I mean TH or MWF takes time to find a family who needs a complimentary schedule, but no way am I even trying to fill around Thursday Friday! DCM seemed surprised I would be willing to lose her sweet little boy. She wanted to see if I changed my mind this morning, I told her that I have 3 interviews lined up this week...pretty sure
Then, she starts texting me for potty training advice as DCB is not potty trained at all at home but completely here...umm maybe ask your new provider for tips.
I probably sound like a total witch, but they are super permissive parents and I am pretty sure the kid would be in diapers FOREVER if he thought it was a good power play over parents.
