    Paint....for Kids

What type of paint do you use for daycare kids?

I want to buy a few (BIG) containers of the primary colors, and was wondering what brand you use, how much it is, likes, dislikes about the certain brands, etc.

I love Crayola's washable tempera. It's so easy to clean up. I got the big bottles then got these cups: http://www.amazon.com/Chenille-Kraft...4457757&sr=8-2
I got primary, black and white. We then mix colors to make the other colors...so it adds to the art lesson.

I got the 16oz but I only have 5 toddlers/preschoolers at most. It also comes in 32oz and a gallon. I got it off Amazon. Tip: sign up for Amazon moms. Its for parents and caregivers. You get Prime (free 2 day shipping) for free).

Dont ever buy Elmer's washable tempera. It is NOT washable. My kids hands were all stained for the whole day after painting with it. Elmer's is a pretty big brand (most famous for glue), so I was suprised. We bought it at Walmart. TERRIBLE PAINT.

I personally like BioColor from Discount School Supply. 16oz for $2.99 if you buy single bottles. It doesn't crack when it dries and I never had a problem with clean up ~ from hands to clothes to tables.

Yes. The red and black stain and it is kind of watery. I went back to BioColor, it's a little more expensive but the consistency and color brightness are better. Just my opinion

glad I asked before I just bought it... i would have been sad with paint that stains (even though it says washable, )

This is what I buy and I love it. It's a great price and I have never had problems with staining. You can add a squrt of dishsoap to your paint (any paint) to help prevent staining too.
